Prior to joining AEW, Ethan Page dominated IMPACT Wrestling's tag team division as part of The North. Teaming with Josh Alexander, The North hold the record as the longest-reigning tag team champions in IMPACT Wrestling history.

Many fans have clamored for them to eventually square off against former AEW Tag Team Champions FTR.

Page was asked if The North are on a similar level to FTR, and the AEW star stated that his partnership with Josh Alexander is one of the greatest of all time:

"I mean we were the longest-reigning champions in IMPACT Wrestling history. We did a lot of great work. I don't think we were put to the test like some of these teams with who we're facing off against. I think we would have had to go to another level to be able to compete with some of the best in the world to solidify that. But when it comes to chemistry, tag team moves, cohesion and teamwork, we're one of the greatest of all time," said Ethan Page.

Josh Alexander is currently signed to IMPACT Wrestling and is a former IMPACT World Champion. His contract is reportedly set to expire in 2022, so a possible North reunion could be on the cards next year.

#3 Ethan Page says AEW star Eddie Kingston almost quit professional wrestling

Eddie Kingston has recently been dubbed "the people's champion" of All Elite Wrestling.

The Mad King came up short in a tremendous and physical fight against CM Punk at Full Gear last week, continuing the excellent work he has produced since signing with AEW in July 2020.

Ethan Page told Sportskeeda Wrestling that he had numerous conversations with Kingston when the latter was contemplating quitting professional wrestling altogether:

"There were conversations that I had with him, many many times, when he was ready to quit and ready to stop," said Page. "He just wanted to become a 'wilder', watch the New York Giants and that's it. He literally said, 'I'm going move to Alaska and as long as I get the channel that I can watch football on, I'll be fine.'"

Ethan Page discussed how happy he was for Eddie Kingston, but he was even happier for AEW fans as they now have the opportunity to fall in love with the New York performer:

"I'm glad that's not the case. You know, he's a man of his word too. He would have 100% done it and I would have had to send him mail to be a pen pal to keep in touch. But professional wrestling is the weirdest, strangest industry on Earth and it has a way of doing the right thing every once in a while and everyone got to see the star that we got to see for the last 20 years. And honestly, even though, I'm very happy for Eddie. I'm more happy for the fans because I feel like if they never got a chance to actually experience Eddie Kingston and to fall in love with him like so many of us have on the independents, they would have missed out on something special," Page added.

In addition to wrestling, Eddie Kingston also serves as an analyst on AEW Dark: Elevation.
