AEW star Chris Jericho is the reigning ROH World Champion. He won this prestigious title at Dynamite last month by dethroning the previous champion, Mark Briscoe, in a Ladder War. Furthermore, it appears that he is going to have a dominant reign because beside him are his Learning Tree stablemates, Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Interestingly, there might be a star who could end Y2J's title run without too much effort: Samoa Joe. The 45-year-old is currently on hiatus because he was filming the second season of Twisted Metal. In this post-apocalyptic action comedy TV series, he plays a character named Sweet Tooth. Recent reports suggest that its filming has concluded. This means that the Samoan Submission Machine's return to AEW is imminent.

It would make a lot of sense for Joe to defeat Chris Jericho and win the ROH World Title as soon as he returns. He is a dominant athlete who should be booked strongly. Giving him the title as soon as possible would also help him gain momentum. Furthermore, since Joe holds the record for the longest reign with the ROH World Title at 645 days, it would make for a great story if he wins it again.

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

Samoa Joe called AEW a "touchstone of international wrestling"

It has not been long since Samoa Joe joined All Elite Wrestling. However, he has become one of their biggest assets. He is a former World Champion and has won the TNT Championship twice. In a recent interview, he called the company a "touchstone of international wrestling".

"When you talk about AEW, it’s a touchstone of international wrestling. It’s a place where we work across company lines, your favorite superstars from anywhere in the world can show up along with your favorite American stars," said the 45-year-old. [H/T Medium]

It remains to the seen what the future holds for the Samoan Bulldozer in All Elite Wrestling.
