WWE legend Jeff Jarrett made a shocking announcement on Dynamite last week. He revealed that he had signed his last contract with AEW. Double J also stated that he would like to enjoy one last World Title run before riding off into the sunset.
This week on Dynamite, the WWE Hall of Famer participated in the casino gauntlet match to earn a shot at the World Championship, but unfortunately, he failed. PowerHouse Hobbs won the match.
After the match, MJF interrupted Jarrett's segment and disclosed that his contract extension was only for a year. The Salt of the Earth offered to help the veteran win the World Title. However, in return, he wants the opportunity to go after the belt first. The WWE Hall of Famer rejected Friedman's offer.
It is now officially confirmed that Jeff Jarrett's new contract with All Elite Wrestling will run till 2026. Given that the 57-year-old veteran mentioned his current deal will be his last wrestling contract in AEW, he could return to WWE for a backstage role following its expiration.

However, it is highly unlikely because he has already accomplished everything in WWE (won multiple titles), even a Hall of Fame induction (the most prestigious award in the Stamford-based promotion.) Therefore, he might continue his journey in AEW but in a different capacity.
However, at the moment, this is mere speculation and anything can happen in the world of wrestling.
Bully Ray comments on MJF and Jeff Jarrett's segment on AEW Dynamite
On the latest edition of Busted Open After Dark, Bully Ray praised MJF and Jeff Jarrett's segment on Dynamite. But he also highlights a problem with it. He stated that a lack of people in the crowd in the arena affected the stars' performances:
Ray said, "I thought this segment was good at best. I was looking for a lot more emotion. Now, I don't know if the lack of people in the arena is starting to affect some of the performers. Now you never hear me bust AEW's chops about the houses... So there's about 2500 people in the arena tonight and those 2500 people deserved to see the best show that they possibly can."

Bully Ray added that this kind of situation makes it difficult for the talents to channel their emotions and connect with the audience.
