Malakai Black is reportedly on his way out of AEW. The House of Black leader has not competed in the promotion for a while. However, Black could return for one final bout against The Aerial Assassin Will Ospreay.
The 31-year-old star has had some battles recently against The House of Black's Brody King and Buddy Matthews. Ospreay even told Buddy to step out of Malakai Black's shadow after their match on recent AEW Dynamite. This could be the perfect opportunity to bring Malakai Black back to television for his final match in All Elite Wrestling against Will Ospreay.
There have been multiple rumors on social media that Malakai Black is finishing up with AEW as his contract with the promotion is set to expire in February or March 2025. Black is expected to return to WWE following the expiration of his contract. Tony Khan could bring Malakai back for a match against Will Ospreay and officially write him off television.

Julia Hart on The House of Black's status after Malakai Black's rumored AEW departure
Malakai Black formed The House of Black in 2021 and brought in Brody King, Buddy Mattews, and Julia Hart to the group. After rumors of Malakai potentially departing from AEW, his House of Black stablemate Julia Hart has shared her reaction to the reports.
In a recent chat with Denise Salcedo on YouTube, Julia Hart revealed that she's happy for Malakai Black and ensured that The House of Black will be fine without the former NXT Champion. Hart said she'll continue to destroy the women's division whereas Buddy Matthews and Brody King focus on the men's division:
''So it’s just, whatever happens, happens. And I’m happy for him no matter what happens, and I think House of Black will be okay. No matter what happens, I’ll keep destroying the women’s locker room. Brody and Buddy will destroy the men’s lockeroom. Everything will be okay. And I’m happy for everybody no matter what.”
The fans will have to wait and see if Malakai Black makes his return to WWE later this year.
