Could Malakai Black leave AEW following hid recent loss?

Malakai Black has been a top star in AEW since his arrival. He is mostly involved in tag team action along with his faction, The House of Black. The stable consists of Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Julia Hart.

They have been one of the most dominant groups in the Jacksonville-based promotion. On the other hand, Black has not been involved in many singles runs these years.

Recently, The House of Black has been feuding with Adam Copeland. At Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Copeland squared off against Black for the TNT Championship in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match. The brutal match saw The Rated-R Superstar retain his championship with the help of his old friend Gangrel.

Now that the dust has settled following the pay-per-view, let's take a look at some of the directions AEW could take for Malakai following his loss against Adam Copeland.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5. Go on a brief hiatus

Malakai Black has been leading The House of Black for years. After his defeat against Copeland, the former will need some time to rebuild himself. This could make the fans invested in the storyline, too.

The former NXT Champion could return at AEW's next pay-per-view, Forbidden Door, and challenge another top star for a match in the future. The 39-year-old scoring victory over a top star could once again make him a bonafide main eventer.

#4. Malakai Black and Julia Hart vs. Adam Copeland and Beth Phoenix

Julia Hart lost her TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at Dynasty PPV in April. She is currently out with an injury which she sustained earlier following the match. As of now, no word on her return is known.

Whenever the Princess of Black Throne is cleared for in-ring action, she could get involved in the Malakai-Adam storyline. This would lead to The Master Manipulator bringing her better half, Beth Phoenix, to AEW.

#3. The House of Black could turn on their leader

Adam Copeland led The Judgment Day in WWE, the faction that is somehow similar to HOB. So he knows a thing or two about managing and guiding young talents. He could do the same in AEW.

Malakai Black bought out the vicious side of Copeland ahead of their match. During the build-up to their feud, The Rated-R Superstar teased taking House of Black with him. The same was teased during the match at Las Vegas, however, it was a swerve, and Brody and Buddy attacked Adam.

It will be interesting to see if Copeland can lure the rest of the HOB members to join him.

#2. Malakai Black finally captures TNT Championship in a rematch

After losing a title shot at Double or Nothing, the 39-year-old star has to earn another opportunity at the championship. After picking several wins in the coming months, Malakai could challenge the TNT Champion in a rematch on a big stage like All In.

This could be the ideal direction for The House of Black leader and cement his legacy as a top star.

#1. Aleister Black returns to WWE

Malakai Black, known as Aleister Black in WWE was a bonafide star on NXT brand. However, his main roster run was very underwhelming and failed to get over the audience on SmackDown or RAW.

The 39-year-old star's contract is reportedly nearing an extension, which means if Black rejects the new deal, he could make his return to the global sports entertainment juggernaut.

It is well known that the stars are enjoying the current WWE product under Triple H's regime. Malakai would be an instant attraction upon his return after three years.

Only time will tell what is next for Malakai Black in the future.
