MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) is a professional wrestler from the United States of America. He is currently performing on the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) promotion. Considered to be one of the pillars of the promotion, MJF has been associated with the company ever since it was formed in 2019. Since then, he has turned out to be one of the most decorated wrestlers of the promotion. He has won the Dynamite Diamond Ring multiple times, the ROH World Tag Team Championship, the AEW American Championship and even the AEW World Championship.

Prior to showing up in AEW he likewise worked for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) from 2015 to 2018 where he secured the CZW Wired Title (one time) and CZW World Heavyweight Title (one time). He was positioned in sixth spot among the main 500 grapplers in 2022 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI). He was also the Most Hated Grappler of the Year for successive years in 2021 and 2022. ESPN ranked him in the top spot among the top 30 grapplers and recognized him as the Promo Artist of the Year in 2022.

Independent Career

MJF started working in Combat Zone Wrestling under the new in-ring name Pete Lightning in 2015. He beat Johnny Yuma to prove to be the best for the CZW Wired Title. MJF won the 27-Man Battle Royal to transform into the new number-one contender for the CZW World Heavyweight Title in 2018. He was the last Wired title holder in that promotion. He beat Rickey Shane Page to end up as the winner of the CZW World Heavyweight Title before making his departure from CZW in 2018.

MJF started working in Major League Wrestling (MLW) in 2017. He beat Joey Ryan to become the first-ever World Middleweight Champion at the Battle Riot special. He had encountered a broken elbow which kept him out of the ring for about 4 months. MJF outlined a group "The Dynasty" with Richard Holliday after his return. MJF won the MLW World Tag Team Title alongside Richard Holliday before his exit from MLW in 2020.
