WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff has named a suitable replacement for AEW CEO Tony Khan as the promotion's head booker. The name is none other than Bully Ray.

Easy E's criticism of AEW's booking has been a hot topic in professional wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer does throw a lot of jabs towards the promotion but is also appreciative when Tony Khan tries something different while presenting Dynamite, Collision, or All Elite Wrestling PPV events to the fans.

In a recent chat on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff was asked by host Conrad Thompson on who he would choose to replace Tony Khan as the head booker of All Elite Wrestling. The former RAW GM named Hall of Famer Bully Ray.

"Bully Ray."

Eric Bischoff claimed that Bully Ray sees the bigger picture and understands the wrestling audience he's entertaining, unlike Tony Khan who only targets one aspect.

"He sees the big picture, he understands story structure. When you listen to him talk about laying out a long-term story and the way to do it, you begin to hear it... He understands the wrestling audience... Bully understands the audience he's trying to entertain. Tony [Khan] doesn't understand the general audience, Tony understands very well one aspect of it." Eric Bischoff recalls working with WWE veteran Bully Ray

In the same episode, Eric Bischoff brought up the Aces and Eights storyline from TNA Wrestling. The veteran spoke about working with Bully Ray during the storyline and how the former Tag Team Champion would surprise him with his ideas. Bischoff noted that Bully Ray wasn't a biker guy but adopted that character to make the storyline work.

"I had a chance to work with Bully in TNA on a number of different storylines. But the one in particular Aces and Eights. It might've been mine idea to begin with but as the story evolve [sic], it was as much as Bully's idea often times as it was mine. Once we kinda got the ball rolling, and Bully could see the picture, he saw the vision, he understood the character. Bully wasn't a biker kind of guy. It wasn't his culture. Once he kind of got the feel for what we were doing, he embraced it." [42:06-42:53]

Bully Ray recently appeared on WWE's NXT 2300 episode. We will have to wait and see if The Hall of Famer makes more appearances in the future.
