AEW fans received a nostalgic surprise at WWE SummerSlam this past weekend when Arn Anderson reunited with Cody Rhodes. The legendary star seems to have returned to WWE, but he didn't come alone. Arn's son, former All Elite star Brock Anderson, was spotted with Triple H backstage at the show.

Brock Anderson made his AEW debut in 2021 and impressed fans despite being brand new to the business. Unfortunately for the 27-year-old star, he was never able to find a foothold in the company. Brock ultimately departed Tony Khan's promotion in October 2023.

Fans were ecstatic to see Arn Anderson's segment with Cody Rhodes at WWE Summerslam, but few expected his son to be present as well. While Brock Anderson didn't feature on television at the event, he was seen in a picture shared by Triple H on X (fka Twitter) today along with a message for the 65-year-old legend and his family.

"Always humbling to be in the presence of a legend like Arn Anderson. So great to have him and his family with us this past Saturday for a massive #SummerSlam," he wrote.

Ryback hopes AEW's Wardlow will get a chance in WWE

Several AEW stars have made their way to WWE after missed opportunities in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Unlike Brock Anderson, former TNT Champion, Wardlow had received several major opportunities in Tony Khan's company, but inconsistent booking and issues connecting with the audience have hampered his profile lately.

Some fans want to see Mr. Mayhem try his hand in WWE, and former superstar Ryback agrees. Speaking on Ryback TV, The Big Guy claimed that a run under Triple H could do wonders for Wardlow.

"I hope he [Wardlow] gets an opportunity to go to WWE and have a good run because I think it can really really be good for him if he does if he's not going to be used properly in AEW," Ryback said.

Wardlow had a lot of momentum just a few years ago, but the company hasn't managed to translate that into sustained success for the 36-year-old. Only time will tell whether Mr. Mayhem can make it back to the main event scene.
