A young star from a major promotion challenged his mentor and the AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, amid his new 'war' attitude. The two stars have a history with each other for years.
The 27-year-old star is none other than Shota Umino. Shota began his wrestling career in 2017 with New Japan Pro-Wrestling and has been one of the rising stars in the promotion. Umino is also known for his friendship with Jon Moxley, as he considers Purveyor Of Violence his mentor.
Moxley and Umino have been teaming up with each other since 2019. The two also squared off against each other at the NJPW Resurgence event earlier this year, where The Ace defeated Umino to retain his IWGP World Heavyweight Title. Meanwhile, Shota Umino has challenged Moxley to another match.
Umino recently shared his thoughts on Moxley's actions in AEW, stating that he doesn't condone Moxley's latest methods of destroying everyone on the All Elite roster. Jon, alongside The BCC, has been waging war against several stars since turning on Bryan Danielson at All Out.

Jon Moxley confronted his AEW Full Gear opponent on Collision
This past Wednesday, it was made official that Jon Moxley will defend his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy after the latter made the challenge. After the match announcement, Moxley showed up on the most recent episode of Collision as he and the BCC destroyed Action Andretti.
After PAC defeated Andretti, Orange Cassidy was seen on the Titantron as he vowed to capture the AEW World title from Moxley at Full Gear. Cassidy also entered the arena through the crowd and took out Wheeler Yuta before leaving, sending Moxley a direct message.
Moreover, Cassidy seems to have turned the tables in terms of playing mind games with the BCC, and it remains to be seen if he manages to capture the AEW World title from Moxley.
