AEW Collision saw the return of a former champion

A three-time AEW champion returned from injury on the latest edition of Collision after being out since October. This star is very popular among the fans. The former champion in question is Rey Fenix.

Fenix and The Beast Mortos started off the match in great fashion and got to work quickly. Despite all the hype from the crowd, Fenix was overpowered by his much bigger opponent on the night. Mortos targeted Rey's knees, which badly affected him. The dominance was so great that the Luchador was just overwhelmed.

However, the former AEW International Champion got back into the match and hit Mortos with some of his best signature moves. One of the moves of the match came when Mortos caught Rey with a spear in mid-air, which shocked the fans.

Fenix then caught his opponent and hit him with the five star frog splash, but it only turned out to be a near fall which left the fans in shock. As the match was getting into the final stretch, Fenix picked up the win after rolling up on his opponent and in the process, catching him off guard.

This match did a lot to propel The Beast Mortos into the limelight, as his skillset and calibre in the ring were there for all to see. It is only a matter of time before he is pushed as an unstoppable star in AEW.
