A 34-year-old star recently slammed AEW after leaving the company to join WWE. The state in question is Ethan Page.
All Ego first gained traction as part of the successful tag team The North along with Josh Alexander. After their team disbanded, Page went on to AEW in pursuit of a solo career. Initially, he was involved in some notable storylines. However, as time passed, Page's TV time reduced drastically.
Ethan Page grew frustrated with his booking and departed the company. After leaving All Elite Wrestling, Page was quick to sign with WWE and even debuted on NXT. His debut match was for the NXT Championship. Since debuting in the white and gold brand, the star has already established himself as a main event player.
During a recent interview with Talk'n Shop, Ethan Page compared AEW's backstage aura with that of WWE. He called his former employer's environment "chaotic" and "unorganized."
"I went from somewhere that was so chaotic and unorganized to a place that, I mean I’m still learning because I’m still so new here, but this is a machine and it’s incredible. It feels good to not feel like I have to do everything myself. To have people that want to see me succeed is kind of mind blowing." [H/T: Cultaholic Wrestling]
Former AEW star Ethan Page will compete for the NXT Championship again at Heatwave
Since his arrival in NXT, Ethan Page has managed to insert himself into the NXT Championship picture. He already challenged Trick Williams for the title a few weeks ago and ended up on the losing.
However, he managed to wriggle his way into another title shot and got added to Je'Von Evans' title match against Trick Williams. Now, their match at NXT Heatwave will be a Fatal 4-Way featuring Ethan Page, Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Shawn Spears.
It will be interesting to see whether Ethan Page will be able to win the NXT Championship this weekend.
