37-year-old star debuts on AEW Rampage

A certain top star has just made their debut on AEW Rampage tonight as part of the second edition of the Continental Classic (C2). He ended up being victorious on his debut, having gotten the best of a popular name on the roster.

Kazuchika Okada is one of the company's biggest names. Having signed with AEW back in March, he has already created quite a resume for himself, winning the AEW Continental Championship, and competing in several blockbuster matches in his almost nine months with the promotion.

However, The Rainmaker has not made any appearances on Rampage until tonight, as he faced off against Mark Briscoe in a match for the Blue League of the C2.

Okada was looking to take his first win in the tournament after his time-limit draw against Daniel Garcia last week on AEW Collision.

He constantly proved that working smart, not hard, was an approach that worked for him as he was in control of the majority of the match without even breaking a sweat.

Briscoe came back with bursts of energy but every time he attempted to put the match away, Kazuchika Okada would always have a counter. In the end, it was Okada who found an opportunity to hit the Rainmaker for the win.

This now gives him four points and puts him only second to Kyle Fletcher in the Blue League.
