A major star is open to joining AEW for a match against Keith Lee. The wrestler in question recently left WWE.
Dijak and Keith Lee were known for their fierce competition in WWE. During their days together in the Stamford-based promotion, both massive athletes put on some incredible matches that seemed to leave the fans in awe each time. This also showed the chemistry the two stars shared in the ring. However, after Lee left the promotion and joined AEW, any hopes for another match between both men seemed futile. But now with Dijak also out of the global juggernaut, it looks like both athletes could lock horns again.
During a recent interview with the Wrestling with Things podcast, Dijak spoke about wrestlers he would be interested in getting in the ring with. He explicitly mentioned that he wasn't interested in wrestling people that phone it in. He also believes that he and Lee in the ring again could be a big "money match."
"The only people I'm disinterested in working with are the people who are phoning it in right because I've had plenty of those matches before. [...] I think the money match is obviously myself and Keith Lee, we have a very storied history, I think the fans are going to clamor for that. I think that's the kind of match that you can build an entire pay-per-view around if you really want to," he said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]

Keith Lee's AEW contract is set to expire soon
Keith Lee was on top of the world during his days in NXT. At one time, he held the NXT North American and the NXT Championships simultaneously. However, since joining the main roster, things took a turn for the worse and he was eventually released from the company.
Lee then joined AEW where he initially won the Tag Team Championship with Swerve Strickland. However, after Swerve's career took off, Lee was left behind.
Ibou of Wrestlepurists recently reported that Lee's contract was set to expire soon. However, he didn't specify when Lee's contract would expire or whether the 39-year-old would sign a new deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Keith Leee hasn't been seen in action for several months due to recovery from an injury. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the former WWE star.
