AEW has seen several major returns this year, but one of the most surprising came in the form of QT Marshall. The 39-year-old made his in-ring comeback at Full Gear 2024, and he's now opened up on what's next for him.

QT Marshall departed AEW late last year after disagreements with Tony Khan regarding his status as an in-ring talent. He was brought back in shortly after as the company's Vice President of Show & Creative Coordination, but few expected him to compete again.

The former Nightmare Family member returned to action on Full Gear's Zero Hour pre-show, battling viral TikTok sensation "Big Boom" AJ of the Costco Guys. While Marshall didn't win the match, he did receive some love from AEW fans, who have traditionally been critical of the 39-year-old.

On the latest edition of My Mom's Basement, QT Marshall was asked about his return and whether he'll continue to wrestle for Tony Khan's promotion moving forward. Marshall said that he's taking it one step at a time and that he'd have to speak to Khan about any future plans:

"Who knows? We’ll see. Like I said, take it one day at a time. I’m still enjoying what happened [at AEW Full Gear], so we’ll see. I think I still gotta talk to Tony and see what he has in mind. I’m hoping that I don’t have to go to him and pitch anything. I think it’d be great if he came to me and said, ‘Hey, you know what I think::.’ That would be really cool. But with the roster that we have and the great talent that we have, I’m not holding my breath [laughs], so we’ll see," Marshall said. [H/T Fightful]

QT Marshall's opponent suffered an injury at AEW Full Gear 2024

AEW Full Gear's pre-show featured a huge match between QT Marshall and "Big Boom" AJ Befumo. The TikTok star won the match but was injured in the process.

According to a report from Fightful Select, AJ broke his foot during the match but managed to finish with a victory. His resilience has impressed fans, and the report notes that many backstage were also happy with the social media star's performance.

Tony Khan himself has revealed that he would love to have the Costco Guys back in All Elite Wrestling. Whether fans will see more of "Big Boom" AJ, Big Justice, and The Rizzler remains to be seen.
