A top AEW star recently revealed that he's not interested in becoming the face of the Jacksonville-based promotion. The name in question is none other than Orange Cassidy.
The former AEW International Champion has found himself in the mix of the ongoing Jon Moxley and Blackpool Combat Club's hostile takeover in All Elite Wrestling. Moxley managed to take the World Title from Bryan Danielson and has been launching brutal attacks with Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta on the All Elite locker room.
In a recent interview with Good Karma Wrestling, the 40-year-old star revealed that he prefers doing his work and heading home instead of aiming to become the face of All Elite Wrestling.
“No, and I don’t think that I am, nor should I be [the face of AEW]. I don’t want that. I never wanted that. I wanted to do what I had to do and go home." [H/T: RingsideNews]

AEW star Orange Cassidy will fight against Jon Moxley and Blackpool Combat Club
On the most recent episode of Dynamite, Orange Cassidy's close friend Chuck Taylor was assaulted by the Blackpool Combat Club. Claudio Castagnoli stomped a steel chair placed around Taylor's neck, which led to the latter getting stretchered out of the arena.
In the same interview, Orange Cassidy stated that he's left with no choice but to fight back against the faction after their horrendous actions on Wednesday night.
"After what happened last night, it's been made very clear to me that I think I have no choice in the situation. Before, early in AEW, there was always this thing of 'Oh, he's going to try. He'll care this time.' I don't feel that I have any choice in this matter. I have to fight now. I have to fight. I don't want to, but if the people around me that I care about the most are going to be hurt, then I really have no choice in the matter," he said. [H/T: Fightful]
We will have to wait and see how Orange Cassidy handles the situation in the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
