A 47-year-old ex-WWE star has said that he thinks he deserves to be in the title picture in AEW. This star is indeed an intimidating wrestler and it would not surprise anyone if he is indeed in the title picture sooner than later.

The star is none other than Lance Archer. Archer was a part of WWE for a brief period of time from 2009 to 2010 and had a few matches in ECW before it was disbanded. Since then, he has been active on the independent scene and signed up with AEW in 2020.

He has now revealed that he thinks he deserves to be in the running to be the new TNT Champion. Adam Copeland vacated the TNT Title after he injured himself at Double or Nothing in his match against Malakai Black.

The new champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door later this month and Lance Archer was a guest on Hitting the Turnbuckle podcast when he said that he at least deserves to be in the qualifying matches.

"Not all the participants have been named for the TNT ladder match. I have a pretty rich history with the TNT Title in the sense that I was challenging for the first ever championship back in 2020 and I challenged again in 2021. I absolutely believe that I should be in that conversation and having one of those matches to be part of that TNT ladder match at Forbidden Door. Who knows what's going to happen and what is on the table, but I absolutely believe I should be in that picture," he said. [H/T - Fightful]

Former WWE star Adam Copeland reveals what he thought before he got injured

WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland fractured his tibia when he attempted a jump off the steel cage in his bid to defeat Malakai Black.

That did not go to plan and he botched the move, resulting in this horrific injury. He recently spoke to Sports Illustrated and revealed what he thought before executing that jump.

“My biggest concern when I got up there was, ‘How do I not crush him?' I didn’t even consider getting injured. My take was if I jumped to the side, landed on my feet, and hit him with my arm but not my body, then the table would break just because of the sheer height. It happened exactly how I planned it,” Copeland said.

Sadly, he got injured doing that spot as he had envisioned and he will now be out for a considerable period of time.
