A 47-year-old wrestler recently confirmed that he isn't planning to leave AEW anytime soon. The star being discussed is Lance Archer.

Lance joined Tony Khan's roster in 2020. His last in-ring performance for the Jacksonville-based promotion came on the May 25, 2024, episode of Collision. Before becoming All Elite, he was popular for his stints in top promotions like TNA, NJPW, and Pro Wrestling Noah. He also had a short stint in WWE between 2009 and 2010.

During a recent edition of The Snake Pit podcast, Lance Archer was asked if he plans to return to TNA after being away from the promotion for 15 years. The veteran stated that he is very happy with his current run in the Jacksonville-based promotion and intends to stay longer in the promotion.

"I think everybody kind of keeps up with everything that's going on in the business. I have friends that are there, old tag partners. Brian Myers and I had a little bit of a history way back in the day with WWE when we were the unofficial Gatecrashers. Then I've got good friends that I've known since my first run in TNA, like Frankie Kazarian. He and I were there way back in the early 2000s for all those years... As far as me and TNA, who knows what happens in the future, but right now, I'm running strong with AEW and have no plans to leave," he said. [H/T: WrestlingInc]

Lance Archer thinks he deserves a title shot in AEW

Earlier this month, Lance Archer expressed his desire to be in the reckoning for the AEW TNT Championship. The TNT Title was vacated by Adam Copeland after he suffered a broken tibia while performing a dangerous spot during a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at Double or Nothing.

Speaking on the Hitting the Turnbuckle podcast, the 47-year-old veteran stated that he deserved a shot at the TNT Championship.

A Ladder Match will take place at AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 to crown the new TNT Champion. Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, Jack Perry, Dante Martin, and Lio Rush have already qualified for the match. The sixth spot will be determined in the coming days.
