#2 - A match against Sting would be a battle between two iconic WCW stars
Goldberg vs. Sting may no longer be a dream match that wrestling fans would be interested in seeing in 2022. Interestingly enough, their combined age equals 117, which isn't an ideal set of digits for two competitors to have a marquee match-up.
However, the two men have a rich history and were instrumental in the success of WCW back in the day.
The two WCW Icons have collided in some of the most memorable World Championship matches of the late 1990s. Not too long ago, Goldberg spoke highly of the face-painted star and admitted that Sting was a stalwart of WCW.
The former Universal Champion even credited the AEW star for his immense success in pro wrestling:
"Sting is WCW. Period, end of story. People want to say it was me for a period of time, but he just handed the reins to me for a little bit. Sting is that promotion. That promotion is Sting. Everything I learned, I learned from him. He was an integral part of my process becoming a professional wrestler. I wouldn't have done it without him."
The two men could revisit their decades-old saga in AEW and wrestle again for the sake of old times.
#1 Goldberg vs. Wardlow would be the ultimate power struggle
AEW's most intimidating wrestler Wardlow is someone who can decimate Goldberg in the ring.
Mr. Mayem's Powerbomb Symphony maneuver has been picking up steam lately, similar to when The Icon's spear and Jackhammer combination became a thing back in the day. Both men can put on a short yet entertaining match revolving around their finishing maneuvers.
The Conductor of Violence could be the chosen one to retire the WWE Hall of Famer from pro wrestling once and for all. A win over the legendary star would instantly help Wardlow solidify his position as one of the top stars on the roster.
