AEW star MVP is the manager of The Hurt Syndicate. Apart from him, the faction consists of former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin.
For the last few years, MVP has not participated in in-ring action. He has predominantly been seen in managerial roles and handling microphone duties. Interestingly, he is an immensely skilled professional wrestler. He has not only won prominent titles in WWE, such as the WWE United States Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship, but has also appeared in promotions such as NJPW, MLW, Ring of Honor, TNA, and more.
Recently, he uploaded a shirtless photo of himself on Instagram, showcasing his impressive physique at the age of 51. In the caption, he hinted that he intends to make an in-ring return and thanked all his training partners.
"This is 51. The best I have looked in a VERY long time! I'm usually too embarrassed to be seen without a shirt! I have a long way to go, but I am far from finished. Over the past few years, there were extended periods where I looked like a chewed up piece of bubblegum. NO MORE! I have some unfinished business in the ring and on the mats! Shout out to ALL my training partners and those who inspire me."
MVP states the criteria to join The Hurt Syndicate
The Hurt Syndicate recently had a conversation with Renee Paquette on AEW Close-Up. There, he mentioned the qualities required for a wrestler who wants to be a part of the faction.
"They have to be coachable. Number two, they have to have swag, swagger, a sense of style and fashion because we are hashtag fashionably violent ... you can't have a nice pair of jeans," said the 51-year-old. (H/T Wrestling Inc.)
The Hurt Syndicate's Bobby Lashley will lock horns with Swerve Strickland in Full Gear this Saturday.
