Jon Moxley was supposed to take over the TBS Superstation this week on Dynamite. But it didn't happen. Moreover, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was mentioned during his segment.
The Purveyor of Violence and his allies came out to cut an in-ring promo but they were soon interrupted by Orange Cassidy and The Conglomeration. As The Death Riders tried to escape, Darby Allin attacked them, kicking off a brawl between the two groups. But before all this happened, a fan in the crowd seemingly insulted Jon Mox using his former Shield stablemate's name. While The one True King was on the mic, the said fan shouted, 'Go back to Roman.'
The wrestling universe instantly caught this moment on Dynamite. Fans then took to X (FKA Twitter) to express concern over the alarmingly low attendance at the Wednesday show. Even a single person shouting could be heard.
"This is sad it's so quiet you can hear some random guy screaming nonsense," a fan said
"Fan Just roasted Dean" this user wrote.
"Dead silent except for one lone voice piercing through the night," wrote another.
"The crowd is so bored they're taunting the workers," commented this user.
Dustin Rhodes claimed Tony Khan might be upset with Jon Moxley's comments
Jon Moxley has taken over AEW. During his promos, he often claims he would change the company's landscape, stating it no longer belongs to Tony Khan.
WWE veteran Dustin Rhodes on Sports Guys Talk Wrestling said that The AEW World Champion asserting that AEW is no longer Khan's company might have offended the AEW CEO.
I don't know what Mox's deal is, but this isn't his company. We all work here, and I've been here since the beginning. Tony [Khan] knows that and Tony knows it is his company. I would imagine Tony is a little bit upset that he's calling it 'his company.'
The Natural certainly disapproves of Jon Moxley's tactics but he is surely walking on eggshells like other stars in the roster.
