Jim Cornette on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes' babyface run
The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes returned to WWE as a babyface at WrestleMania 38 in 2022. He got the fans behind him instantly and went on to climb the ladder to become the top champion in the Stamford-based promotion.
However, in a recent edition of The Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the former manager claimed that Cody Rhodes is not as much of a babyface as compared to his father Dusty Rhodes.
“This is it. He's not being too much of a babyface; he's crossing the line into a little prissy-ness. He's doing the Dusty cadence, but he's not doing the Dusty ‘Having a build like one of the boys’ type of thing, you know?' Dusty's character's life goal was to beat up everybody that graduated from Harvard. But, you know, Cody needs his daughter to know that he's the champion,” said Jim Cornette. [1:49 onwards]
We will have to wait and see if Cody Rhodes brings some changes to his character in the future.
