Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the most popular stars of WWE's Attitude era. While he was one of a kind, with a unique and distinctive personality, wrestling veteran Tony Schiavone believes that there is an AEW star who has a similar personality to him.

Jon Moxley is a carefree person who likes to live by his rules, a personality trait that he and The Texas Rattlesnake have in common. Both the stars are rebellious and never back down from a fight.

Speaking on the recent episode of the "What Happened When" podcast, Tony Schiavone compared The Purveyor of Violence to Steve Austin and stated that Moxley is AEW's version of The Bionic Redneck.

"I hate to make this comparison but I'm going to, and I've said it, I even said it back when we first started. Jon Moxley is probably the closest thing to a Stone Cold Steve Austin that we have in AEW...Just doesn't give a s*t type of guy, and Darby Allin is the same way. I've never seen — I mean Darby's a type of guy, wouldn't you agree, that every match he wrestles, you think it's his last because of the crazy s*t that he does." [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

Stone Cold once cost a former WWE star $15000+

Former WWE star and authority figure Jonathan Coachman recently had an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's The Coach & Bro Show. During the conversation, he revealed that Stone Cold cost him more than 15 grand. He stated that Vince McMahon booked him to fight Austin but the latter didn't show up for the match.

"Stone Cold, who I get along with great, no issues at all, decided it was beneath him to wrestle me. So he just didn't show up. So back then, you would get bonuses, and probably for that match, I would have made 15 to 25 grand extra, and then I didn't get that match," Coachman said.

The last time the WWE Hall of Famer had a match was at WrestleMania 38 where he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match in April 2022.
