In a surprising move, a 7 ft 4 in AEW giant has been shifted from the company's active talent roster. The star in question is none other than Satnam Singh.
The Indian Giant has been signed with AEW since he debuted on the September 23, 2021, episode of Dynamite by aligning himself with Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt after laying out Samoa Joe. Singh has primarily competed in tag team and trios matches alongside Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. However, he sporadically engages in singles competition, swiftly beating Rosario Grillo on the June 14, 2024, episode of Rampage in his most recent one-on-one bout.
Although Satnam Singh has wrestled several matches recently, a prominent question mark has come up. The One in a Billion star has seemingly been removed from the active talent roster on AEW's official website.
Furthermore, it appears that Singh's profile has been shifted to the list of broadcast personnel working in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
One of Singh's more notable recent appearances pitted him against Bryan Danielson in a singles encounter on the May 22, 2024, episode of Dynamite, after The Elite recruited the 28-year-old star to injure The American Dragon ahead of Double or Nothing 2024. The match ended in a disqualification victory for Bryan due to outside interference. Later that week on Collision, Danielson and his Anarchy in the Arena teammates Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler defeated Singh, Jay Lethal, and Jeff Jarrett in a trios bout.
Satnam Singh was last seen in action at AAA TripleMania XXXII: Tijuana on June 15, 2024, teaming with former AEW star Parker Boudreaux, QT Marshall, and Sam Adonis to defeat Los Psycho Circus, Alberto El Patron, and Vampiro in an eight-person tag team match.
Satnam Singh's ally, Jeff Jarrett, will compete in AEW's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
When the brackets for the 2024 edition of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament were revealed, many fans were surprised to see Jeff Jarrett among the participants. Amidst widespread criticism regarding the decision to include Jarrett in the tournament, The Last Outlaw broke his silence recently about his participation in the event.
In a heart-wrenching vignette that aired on AEW Collision, Jarrett reflected on his friendship with the late great Owen Hart and alluded to their partnership in WWE in the late 90s. The duo briefly held the tag team championship and retained their belts against D'Lo Brown and Test at WrestleMania 15. Double J was seen visibly breaking down while talking about Hart and vowed to win the tournament, whose finals will take place in Owen's hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on July 10, 2024.
It remains to be seen whether Jeff Jarrett can pay the highest tribute to his departed friend and win the Owen Hart Foundation tournament to earn a shot at the AEW World Title at All In 2024.
