Konnan recently shared his thoughts about the Mr. McMahon docuseries that was recently released on Netflix. He has been critical of the AEW President Tony Khan and the Jacksonville-based promotion on his podcast previously too.

Konnan has been working as a part of AAA's creative team for some time now. The promotion has been associated with AEW for many years, with stars from each promotion featuring on the other's shows. He also appeared in AEW during 2021's Dynamite where he supported 'Proud and Powerful.'

Netflix's recent docuseries Mr. McMahon has turned out to be quite controversial as it covered almost every scandal in WWE from the past, with Vince McMahon answering them quite candidly. Recently, Konnan shared a major aspect of the limited series and compared the difference between AEW and WWE.

The former WCW World Television Champion claimed that the legends in the docuseries fondly remembered memorable moments of WWE rather than memorable matches. Many felt he was subtly taking a dig at AEW as the promotion constantly focuses on contests rather than stories.

"If you look at the Vince documentary, which is a fascinating peek into the mind of this guy, one of the main things that you get out of this, and he speaks about it ad nauseam and so do all the people, and the thing is what matters are moments, people don't remember the great wrestling matches. They'll remember moments like Mick Foley coming off the top of the cage and characters, that's what we remember," he said. (05:39 - 06:09)

Konnan reveals a top wrestler isn't All Elite

El Hijo Del Vikingo has been a top star in AEW and has become a fan favorite with just a few appearances. He was injured in February 2024 and recently returned to in-ring action.

While speaking on Keeping It 100 OFFICIAL, the AAA name claimed that Vikingo is not AEW-bound and teased that he could sign with another company.

"No, he [Vikingo] does not work in [All Elite Wrestling], not under contract with AEW and pretty soon, you may see him somewhere else,” he said.

It will be interesting to see which promotion El Hijo Del Vikingo would sign with.
