"A new hero has been born" - Kenny Omega finally acknowledges bitter rival after delivering a MOTY candidate in his return match

Kenny Omega just made his highly anticipated return to the ring. Following the match, he finally acknowledged his opponent.

A few months ago, Kenny Omega made a surprise appearance at NJPW Power Struggle and addressed the fans. He expressed his interest in returning to the promotion for Wrestle Dynasty. Moments later, he was attacked backstage by Gabe Kidd, which prompted The Cleaner to issue a challenge to his newest rival for a match at Wrestle Dynasty.

Today, both men finally locked horns in a brutal match that went over 30 minutes. In the end, it was Omega who picked up the win showcasing why he is known as The Best Bout Machine. Following the match, the AEW EVP addressed the fans in the post-show press conference where he praised Gabe Kidd and hailed him as a star in NJPW.

"I took on this fight alone. But a new hero has been born. Japan has a star called Gabe. He's young, hungry, passionate, enthusiastic, and ready to give it his all. I think New Japan needs a guy like that right now."

Tony Khan is excited to see Kenny Omega return to the ring

Many fans were waiting with excitement to see Kenny Omega make his return to the ring. This was his first match since his December 5, 2023, bout against Ethan Page on Collision. He had to step away from the ring after being diagnosed with diverticulitis. But now, The Cleaner is finally back and many fans were excited to see him in action again.

Even Tony Khan took to social media to welcome Omega back to the ring in a heartwarming post.
