A popular AEW name who has not been seen in almost eight months has been spotted backstage tonight during the promotion's Full Gear pay-per-view. This would be Ricky Starks.

Starks was last seen in the company back in March and hasn't appeared on TV since. He has not been out due to an injury or anything of the sort. Earlier today, he made a brief cameo at a GCW event and went on a rant regarding his current situation. He said that he did not want to stay at home, as he felt he was wasting his career.
Following this rant, Ricky Starks was suddenly spotted backstage tonight at AEW Full Gear. On Instagram, Danny Cage of the Monster Factory posted himself being backstage with his family at the pay-per-view, and they shared a photo with Starks.

It is unclear why The Absolute One was backstage during the pay-per-view, considering that he hasn't been on the same page with AEW recently.
Whether this means something for his immediate future is something that fans should stay tuned to. In the end, he may just be at the show to provide moral support for his friends.

Enzo Curabo
Enzo is a Pro Wrestling journalist at Sportskeeda, reporting on AEW. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Studies, which influenced his decision of taking up sports writing professionally, and has been an avid fan of the athletic theater since childhood. He believes readers deserve authentic and unique content and aims to report in a manner which pro wrestling fans can easily relate to.
Growing up, Enzo admired former world champions like AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, Bryan Danielson, Triple H, and Randy Orton for their finishing moves. As an adult, he started to appreciate their character work, as they juggled between heel and babyface gimmicks.
If allowed to produce one final storyline involving his idols, he would have Orton lock horns with John Cena, would be their one last big feud as both of them seem to be approaching the tail end of their careers.
Other than pro wrestling, Enzo enjoys keeping up with Basketball, Football, and Formula One. He also loves watching films, playing video games, and listening to music.
