An absent AEW star has set the record straight about whether he was the man behind the masked luchador Hologram, who made his debut last night on Collision. This would be Ricky Starks.
The Absolute One has not been seen on the promotion since the end of March when he competed in a tag team match alongside Big Bill as they took on Top Flight. His former tag team partner has re-emerged as a branch of The Learning Tree while he has gotten lost in the mix, with no immediate plans for his return.
Last night on Collision, Hologram made an impressive debut against Gringo Loco, and he took the victory. Earlier today, Ricky Starks made a cryptic post on X, using a single emoji, the dizzy emoji. Jose The Assistant replied to him, asking straight up if he was the masked man, and Starks immediately denied this.

"Are you Hologram @starkmanjones?" asked Jose.
"No," said Starks.
The AEW star was recently seen traveling amid his hiatus
Ricky Starks recently shared a personal update amid his absence from AEW. Despite not having any long-term injuries, he has not been seen in the ring for almost four months now.
On Instagram a week and a half ago, he shared a short video he took in Spain. It seems he has taken the chance to enjoy things while on his hiatus from the promotion. It remains to be seen when he makes his return.
"Just a lil something lite. Then lost my glasses in the Uber. Adiós #absolute," the AEW star posted.
Last year, Ricky Starks emerged as someone with heavy momentum, feuding with the likes of CM Punk and Bryan Danielson and even having a brief run as one-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champion.
That momentum has since dissipated, and it remains to be seen whether he can work from the ground up once more and end 2024 on a high note.
