An AEW star recently sent an interesting message amidst absence from television. The star in question is none other than Powerhouse Hobbs.
The former TNT Champion suffered an injury during his match against Jon Moxley in April. However, some reports emerged recently, revealing that Powerhouse Hobbs was present backstage on the September 4th edition of AEW Dynamite.
In a recent tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter), Hobbs seemingly responded to the reports by claiming that he has the best spinebuster across every show in the Tony Khan-led promotion.
"Don’t matter what show still the best spinebuster."

AEW CEO Tony Khan recently provided an update on Powerhouse Hobbs
During the All Out media call, CEO Tony Khan was asked about the current status of Powerhouse Hobbs. Khan revealed that Hobbs has been visiting doctors and is recovering well. He put the star over for being a great addition to the All Elite roster and revealed that he is in the company's future plans.
“Will Hobbs has been visiting the doctors. He was injured wrestling against Jon Moxley in April. It’s been several months of Hobbs being out. We’re hoping to get him back soon, but I think there is still some time he needs for the recovery. Powerhouse Hobbs is a huge part of AEW and has been a great champion. We look forward to getting Will Hobbs back. I can’t say the exact date, but he’s somebody in our plans that we want to get going again soon. It’s been nice to see him backstage a couple of times lately. This wasn’t the first time we’ve seen him, which is a good thing that he keeps coming in for check ups and is making good progress.”
Powerhouse Hobbs is one of the best heavyweight wrestlers signed to All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see if the company utilizes Hobbs to his full potential once he's cleared to return.
