All Elite Wrestling has officially announced the next appearance of former NXT Champion Adam Cole. He returned to television after a lengthy absence at WrestleDream.
This past Saturday, Cole confronted his friend-turned-rival, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Upon his arrival, The Panama City Playboy forced Friedman to retreat, and is now seemingly a babyface. It was also reported that Cole was cleared for in-ring action.
The former NXT Champion has been out of action for over a year now, and fans have been wondering when he will compete inside the squared circle again. Cole's next TV appearance has been announced. AEW's X/Twitter handle recently shared a graphic confirming that the 35-year-old would appear on Wednesday's Dynamite.
"After shocking AEW Fans and @The_MJF with his appearance at #AEWWrestleDream, @AdamColePro makes his return to #AEW Dynamite, LIVE at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TBS, THIS WEDNESDAY!"
Tony Khan commented on Adam Cole's in-ring return a few months ago
Adam Cole wrestled his last match at All Out 2023. He and MJF successfully defended their ROH World Tag Team Title against The Dark Order at the pay-per-view. The Panama City Playboy later sustained a foot injury, which sidelined him from in-ring competition.
A few months ago, during his appearance on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Tony Khan commented on Cole's impending in-ring comeback.
"I can't wait until Cole can come back," Khan said. "I can't give you the exact timetable, but he will be back. And I'm looking forward to it. It'll be great to have Cole back in the ring. He is recovering, and I can't wait to have him back."
With reports of Cole being cleared for in-ring return circulating on social media, it will be interesting to see when he will wrestle his next match.
