Earlier tonight on WWE SmackDown, several AEW stars including Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) were spotted as part of the go-home show before the Money in the Bank PLE. They were shown as part of a video package highlighting the great history of the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Later tonight, DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) has a chance to capture the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time as they'll be challenging A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory). The young stars have been feuding with DIY over the last few weeks. There have been seeds of dissension sown within the champions with Waller seemingly taking advantage of Theory to get out of precarious situations.

During the latest episode of SmackDown, the video package highlighting the past champions and various feuds surrounding the titles was shown.

Among those showcased was the legendary feud between the Dudley Boyz, the Hardy Boyz, and Edge & Christian. Footage from their matches and entrances during the Attitude Era was also shown.

WWE also showcased some of the modern tag teams and those who were champions in the recent past, one of them being The Bar. AEW star Claudio Castagnoli (FKA Cesaro) was also seen on-screen with his former tag team partner Sheamus.

It should be noted that WWE tries to now showcase AEW stars on screen during live programming as they abstain from not giving their rival company any credibility. One of the biggest names in that regard has been Jon Moxley, who was known as Dean Ambrose in WWE. The company has on numerous occasions cut off Ambrose and other stars from video packages.

However, despite working for a rival company, these AEW stars are etched in history and WWE will have no other option but to note their incredible legacies for decades to come.
