AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland has confirmed that he has fractured his tibia. The Rated R Superstar could potentially miss a notable amount of time from the ring.

This past weekend at Double or Nothing, Adam Copeland defended his AEW TNT Championship against Malakai Black. The match was full of brutal spots and even saw the involvement of the House of Black and a surprise appearance by Gangrel, who used to lead The Brood faction consisting of Adam Copeland (Edge) and Christian in the WWF/E.

During the match, Adam Copeland jumped off the top of the cage on Malakai Black, which seemingly resulted in his injury, as he dropped both his knees on the mat. Despite that, Copeland managed to retain his TNT Title in the Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match.

On his X/Twitter account, Adam Copeland confirmed his injury and revealed that he will know the time frame by next week.

"I've been feeling really good lately, been having so much fun in the ring, and I got c*cky. My brain forgets what my body always seems to remember a little late: that I'm 50, and I need to make better choices, so my body pulled the emergency brake on me the other night, and I ended up fracturing my tibia, which is gonna require surgery. I don't know the time frame on that yet. I'll find out the time frame next week, and I'll see you soon," he said. [00:50-2:07]

Adam Copeland's TNT Championship reign might be in jeopardy after his unfortunate injury. It will be interesting to see how AEW addresses the situation in the upcoming episode of Dynamite.
