Adam Page recently took a shot at WWE which prompted CM Punk to respond to him. Now, fans have reacted to their online interaction.
Hangman Adam Page is one of the more interesting characters in AEW. He is known for marching to the beat of his drum. As a result, Page has had some issues backstage quite notably with CM Punk. This was noticeable when Page went into business for himself in his segment with The Straight Edge Superstar during their heated feud in 2022. It looks like there is no love lost between those two.
Recently, Hangman publicly hinted that WWE gave half of his moveset to Logan Paul. Paul has been an active WWE Superstar for some time and has often used some of Page's moves like the Buckshot Lariat. Hence, the tweet of the AEW star. Following Saturday Night's Main Event, Punk was interviewed by Jackie Redmond and Sam Roberts and when the latter used the word "moveset," Punk told him not to use the term since it is used by people who don't know what they are talking about.
"Don't say moveset.....If you say that, you're an idiot. Especially if you're a wrestler, you say moveset that 100% tells me you don't know what the hell you're doing"
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
The timing of the interview spark fans to think that Punk was referring to Page. They have since taken to social media to give their thoughts on the interaction. Check out some of the reactions below:
CM Punk also lashed out at Seth Rollins
When CM Punk returned to WWE last year at Survivor Series: WarGames, several fans were happy that The Straight Edge Superstar was back home. However, there were a select few who were unhappy to see the former WWE Champion return to the company. One of those was Seth Rollins. The Visionary has been vocal about his disdain for Punk, and in recent weeks, the two men have even had a physical altercation in the ring.
Hence, during the same interview, Punk couldn't stop himself from taking a shot at his colleague. The Straight Edge Superstar said that if people chanted the name of someone who is not even in the company, he'd be mad too.
"I think it gets old for a lot of other people, namely Seth Rollins. If I had to wrestle for ten years, or seven years, or however long I was gone, and people were chanting somebody else's name, yeah, I'd hate me too." [From 0:48 - 1:00]
It will be interesting to see when CM Punk and Seth Rollins will finally lock horns in the ring.
