A WWE authority figure has seemingly taken a shot at Tony Khan following a wild night of pro wrestling. Adam Pearce had quite the night and began the day with a statement on the controversy at Money In the Bank. The buzz among wrestling fans continued after an apparent jab at the All Elite Wrestling owner.
The big news coming out of WWE's 15th annual Money In the Bank Premium Live Event was how Drew McIntyre won the MITB briefcase, tried to cash in, and was denied by CM Punk again, which also blew things up between Punk and Seth Rollins.
All of these events led to a post-show moment where The Scottish Warrior called Punk out, and then fought off the officials who came out to stop him, including the RAW General Manager. Jackie Redmond called for help while Big E looked on and Wade Barrett ushered McIntyre away.
Pearce took to X (formerly Twitter) today to issue a statement on the MITB controversy. He seemingly also took a veiled shot at Tony Khan regarding the latter's previous claim of fearing for his life, during the backstage altercation between Punk and Jack Perry at AEW All In last year.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
"Last night in Toronto was emotionally charged in so many ways. Good and bad. Understatement. I personally apologize for the interruption to the post show and my anger. Poor Jackie feared for her life. Understatement. Decisions to be made regarding McIntyre/Punk. Understatement," Adam Pearce wrote.
Many fans have replied to Pearce's tweet and acknowledged the reference to the AEW - ROH owner. Tony Khan has not publicly responded as of this writing.
