Ratings for this week's Grand Slam edition of AEW Collision are in. The episode, it has been revealed, enjoyed a major spike in viewership figures compared to those drawn by the show in the past couple of weeks.
All Elite Wrestling hosted this year's iteration of its annual Grand Slam event in the Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 25. While the promotion's Wednesday-night flagship show, Dynamite, aired live from the venue, its Saturday-night program Collision was taped and broadcast on September 28. The show featured a number of top stars, including Hangman Page, The Conglomeration, Saraya, Jamie Hayter, Jack Perry, Brody King, and more.
Notably, Collision: Grand Slam 2024 witnessed a major boost in ratings, netting a viewership number of 435,000 and a 18-49 demographic rating of 0.13. The figures for both metrics were up compared to those drawn by the show last week, which raked in 347,000 viewers and a demo rating of 0.12. Furthermore, the episode drew the highest numbers for Collision since the go-home edition of the show prior to All In 2024 on August 24, surpassing the 400K mark for the first time in weeks.

Tony Khan teased a major announcement for AEW Dynamite
All Elite Wrestling will present the five-year anniversary episode of Dynamite this week. The card for the show has already been loaded with several high-stakes matches, including an International Championship bout between Will Ospreay and Ricochet, and a Title-for-Title match between All Elite Wrestling World Champion Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada, with The Rainmaker's Continental Championship scheduled to be on the line only for the first twenty minutes.
Just around a day ahead of Dynamite, Tony Khan took to X/Twitter to reveal that the show would have a "significant" overrun, courtesy of TBS, and even teased a separate announcement which the post did not elaborate on.
"Tomorrow, Wed, 10/2/24, is the 5-Year Anniversary of the first ever AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite! Thank you all! Tomorrow's Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite Anniversary Show will have a significant overrun thanks to @TBSNetwork! + I may have another announcement by showtime TOMORROW," wrote Khan.
It remains to be seen if Khan was hinting at the announcement of AEW's new media rights deal with Warner Brothers Discovery, which has been rumored for Dynamite's five-year anniversary special.
