AEW Dynamite registered embarrassing ratings this week. These ratings were the lowest in the history of the show.

AEW Dynamite first launched in 2019 as the company's flagship show. During the initial days after the launch, the company recorded some stellar numbers and even beat NXT in the ratings war. This forced NXT to change from Wednesdays to Tuesdays. Dynamite used to be known for its long-form storyline back in the day which kept viewers suitably engaged. However, since then, the ratings have only dropped with each passing year as the company has struggled to fill arenas and venues to the max.

This week's episode of AEW Dynamite just recorded some abysmal viewership and ratings. The show had only 502,000 viewers and secured a 0.16 rating in the P18-49 demographic. Dynamite was outranked in the key 18-49 demographic by College World Series on ESPN and Expedition Unknown on Discovery.

This week's episode also saw a 26% drop in viewership compared to last week, which drew 681,000 viewers. This is also the lowest viewership in the show's history. The second quarter (Q2) of 2024 when compared with the Q2 of 2023 shows a 16% drop in average viewers this year.

This poor viewership shows that the plan to bring in Will Ospreay and Mercedes Mone has failed to boost ratings.
