It was recently announced by AEW that WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett will be taking part in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and is set to face an unannounced wildcard opponent. The fans got emotional after seeing the above video package of Jeff Jarrett and left some heartfelt comments under the post.
"Well, now I’m gonna be upset if he doesn’t win the whole thing, come on man," a fan posted.
Meanwhile, fans kept showing their support for Double J claiming that he should go on to win the tournament itself.
"This is awesome!" a fan tweeted.
"He should win. And then win the title. It's the final thing you need to do to finish this 2000 WCW speed run," another fan stated.
"With that promo, Double J is the only one I’m rooting for," a fan tweeted.
Jeff Jarrett recently shared his thoughts on AEW star Jack Perry
Jack Perry started in AEW as a beloved baby face. In 2023, he shockingly turned heel and also got into a backstage altercation with CM Punk at All In 2023 which led to the company suspending Perry. The AEW star then moved to NJPW to reinvent himself and introduced the Scapegoat character, which has helped him gain success.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor Bill Apter, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett opened up about Jack Perry's character and also spoke on the criticism the young star often receives.
"It's subjective, you may think he's [Jack Perry] lost it. I think it's a great trait to have. I really believe, that in our industry, you have to pull out a thread of your deep down personality and you've got to amplify it to the umptheenth degree, because we are in the entertainment business, we're also in a very, very competitive business. We're obviously not true sport but it's super competitive," Jeff Jarrett said. [From 7:17 to 7:50]
Jack Perry is currently eyeing the TNT Championship and is set to compete in the TNT Title Ladder Match at the Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View on June 30th. It will be interesting to see if Perry brings more gold to The Elite.
