AEW just made an embarrassing botch. The company claimed that Chris Jericho beat a former WWE star even though he lost the match.
Mistico gained a lot of traction due to his time in Mexico where he established himself as one of the most entertaining high flyers. His performances were so impressive that he joined WWE in 2011. He wrestled for the promotion for several years but his booking wasn't that good.
Following a run in WWE, Mistico returned to the indies where he has been competing in CMLL. He also made a few appearances for AEW. Recently, Mistico faced Jericho in a two-out-of-three falls match at the CMLL 91 Anniversario show. Mistico pulled off a surprising win over Jericho with the La Mistica submission hold.
However, tonight on AEW Collision, Tony Schiavone claimed that Chris Jericho defeated Mistico via the Walls of Jericho. But that is not what happened since it was Mistico who won the match. AEW even posted a video package claiming that Jericho won the two-out-of-three falls match. As a result of this botch, fans called out the company on the Squared Circle Subreddit.

Since then, AEW has edited the tweet to omit the results but the video is still up in which Tony Schiavone claims Chris Jericho won the match.
Daniel Garcia admits he was "floundering" after storyline with Chris Jericho
Daniel Garcia made a name for himself initially when he joined the Jericho Appreciation Society. Getting to be in a storyline with Chris Jericho helped him get over with the fans. However, after the disbandment of the JAS, Garcia was struggling to find his footing.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Daniel Garcia himself admitted that he was "floundering" after leaving JAS.
"I think the person who's helped me the most in AEW, as far as like advice and things like that, has been FTR. FTR has been amazing to me, when I was kind of, like, floundering after the JAS stuff. I really didn't know what was going to be the next move for me. I was kind of confused, I didn't know what to do. It was their idea, 'Hey, like, you should come on Collision, we think we could have something for you over here.' I went on Collision, that's when I started the Continental Classic run and I started to really pick up momentum again in my career for the first time in probably like a year at that point. I owe so much to FTR, they're amazing people." [10:38 - 11:18]
Daniel Garcia has come a long way since his days in the Jericho Appreciation Society.
