AEW just made a major announcement regarding Saraya. The Jacksonville-based promotion announced her opponent for Forbidden Door on June 30.

Saraya has proven herself to be an inspiration for several women wrestlers. She was told that she could not compete in the ring again due to a severe neck injury at the end of 2017. However, she persevered to come out of the injury and finally made her debut for AEW. She also won the AEW Women's World Championship.

It would appear that the former WWE star still has a lot more to achieve in the women's division in AEW, and she will be participating in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Tony Khan took to social media to announce that the 31-year-old would face Mariah May in the quarterfinal of the tournament on the Forbidden Door Zero Hour show.

"This Sunday, @UBSArena 6/30 Forbidden Door Zero Hour Owen Hart Foundation Tournament @MariahMayx vs @Saraya. These 2 rivals will go 1-on-1 chasing a @wembleystadium World Title shot when former champion Saraya fights Mariah May in the @owen_foundation Quarterfinal this Sunday," wrote Khan.

Saraya responded to a fan who claimed she puts a stain on women's wrestling

Saraya has no doubt given her heart and soul to the wrestling business and has been at the forefront of women's wrestling. Despite all her contributions to the business, some fans are ungrateful.

One such fan recently took to social media to claim that the former WWE star puts a stain on women's wrestling. The former AEW Women's World Champion responded to the fan and put him in his place.

"Buddy, I have no idea who you are, long forgotten but you’ve remembered our social media interaction we had 5 years ago?!! You need to get out the house and experience life a bit if that’s the most exciting thing to happen to you. Also I’m British bud," she wrote.

It's sad to see some fans trying to tear down her accomplishments after everything she's given to the business, not to mention the horrific neck injury she managed to come back from after retiring from in-ring action temporarily.
