During the latest episode of AEW Collision, the promotion seemingly debunked speculation that Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks, was unwilling to work with a top star, as they both appeared on the show. The top star in question would be Sammy Guevara.
The Spanish God was on a hiatus due to a suspension that started back in February 2024. Although this ended up being lifted a few months ago, he was not seen in any capacity till July 2024, when he appeared in Ring of Honor to save Dustin Rhodes, formerly known as Goldust. This fueled rumors that he had not been allowed back in AEW due to Mercedes Moné being around.
Back in 2020, Sammy Guevara was also suspended for some inappropriate comments he made towards The CEO. However, on Collision, they were both in attendance. Mercedes Moné appeared following the opening match as she and Kamille launched an attack on Britt Baker. Guevara was seen right after as he and Dustin Rhodes competed for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.

Sammy Guevara wins major title during AEW return
During the latest episode of Collision, Sammy Guevara made his in-ring return to All Elite Wrestling after almost six months, teaming up with Dustin Rhodes as they challenged the Undisputed Kingdom for the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
The duo came to be due to their interactions in Ring of Honor over the past few weeks. After being battle-tested, they went after the champions who had been thorns on their sides.
After a chaotic match, Rhodes and Guevara picked up the victory, ending Matt Taven and Mike Bennett's title reign. This now means that The Natural is a double champion, and this would be Sammy's first title in a couple of years.
Now that he is holding ROH gold, this confirms that The Spanish God will be with the promotion much longer, but he may have some AEW appearances more likely on Collision, as ROH talent is featured during the show at times.
