4. Chris Harris expressed his dissapointment in WWE's booking of Sting
In the same podcast, Chris Harris also discussed Sting's WWE run, noting his misuse by the company. Harris noted that The Icon was likely not surprised by the way WWE booked him after they'd been vying to sign him for years.
The former TNA star also believes that Sting's match against Triple H was exciting, but wound up as an exclamation point on the old WWE vs WCW narrative:
"I think the general consensus is that it took years and years for them [WWE] to finally get him, and I think he [Sting] would probably agree that they just they didn't use him like they should have. But you know, are we really surprised about that?" Harris said. "I mean, they get the biggest star from WCW and don't do much with him at all. When he gets his WrestleMania moment with Triple H, I think it was exciting. You know, we got DX, we got the nWo. That was all exciting, but in the end they kind of put down the legend." (25:18)
3. Jim Cornette speculated on the potential of Lex Luger in AEW
Speaking on Episode 228 of Jim Cornette's Drive Thru Podcast, Cornette commented on whether Lex Luger could have a role in AEW. The former WWE manager noted that Luger was never the "most dynamic" in his promo deliveries and that this could limit an on-screen role.
"Lex is legitimately in a wheelchair now, everybody knows that, so he couldn't be a heel, because how're you going to be a heel when you feel sorry for the guy?" Cornette said. "As far as a teacher, Lex would be happy to talk to the young guys and tell them anything he could and give them the benefit of his experience, but honestly could be in [the] form of a lot of things not to do outside the ring rather than what to do inside the ring." Luger has not been involved in wrestling for many years, so a managerial or training role could be a good fit for the ex-wrestler.
