AEW has seemingly confirmed the official name for a newly formed alliance in the tag team division. The alliance in question comprises FTR and The Outrunners.
Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd have been teaming together since 2021, competing in independent promotions such as OVW, IWA Mid-South, and NWA. They made appearances in All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and 2022, squaring off against The Butcher and The Blade, and Top Flight unsuccessfully on AEW Dark: Elevation.
They have been featured on All Elite programming more prominently since 2023, and have experienced a fascinating surge in popularity as of late, something that has noticeably reflected in recent merch sales.
Last week on AEW Collision, The Outrunners made the save for FTR after the latter was assaulted by The Grizzled Young Veterans, whom The Top Guys had defeated in tag team action. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler then shook hands and posed with Magnum and Floyd, much to the thrill of the crowd in the arena.

It was recently announced that The Outrunners will team up with FTR and HOOK to take on GYV, The Beast Mortos, RUSH, and Roderick Strong on Collision this week. Interestingly, the graphic for the bout collectively dubbed Harwood, Wheeler, Magnum, and Floyd as "FTRunners," which seems to be the name by which the team of FTR and The Outrunners will be referred to as a unit.
The Outrunners were not signed with AEW as of earlier this year
As mentioned previously, The Outrunners have been wrestling sporadically in All Elite Wrestling for a while now. This gave birth to speculation some time ago which suggested that The Youngest Men Alive had inked a deal with the Tony Khan-led company.
However, during an appearance on Wrestling with Rip Rogers in January 2024, Turbo Floyd revealed that The Outrunners were not signed with AEW at the time.
“We heard the rumor. Mark Henry came on here and said we were signed two months after our debut there, which was a couple of years ago. I wish somebody informed me. No, we are not at the moment.” [H/T - Fightful]
Given their recent upswing in popularity, it remains to be seen if and when Magnum and Floyd will officially join the All Elite roster.
