An AEW star disclosed that he has had a successful surgery after he got injured earlier this month. The star being discussed is Anthony Henry.
The 40-year-old star has had a tough ride during his tenure in AEW. He started to wrestle in the company in 2021 and worked alongside JD Drake in a tag team named The Workhorsemen. However, he suffered a jaw injury while wrestling in an independent promotion in March 2024. He was released within weeks after the unfortunate incident happened.
Surprisingly, fans had the back of Anthony Henry as they made his merchandise a top seller. Tony Khan then re-hired him after he was medically cleared. Recently, he provided another unfortunate update. Anthony stated that he sustained an injury to his left bicep during his match against Gabe Kidd on ROH.
A few hours ago, the Saint revealed that he had successfully undergone surgery. No timetable for his return has been reported yet.
"Surgery was successful. Now time to recovery," he wrote.

The 40-year-old star has had two major injuries in the last couple of years. First, he had broken his jaw, which led to his AEW release, but fortunately, he was hired again. Earlier this month, he tore his bicep and will be sidelined for several months.
Recently, Anthony Henry took to Twitter and apologized to his fans for being out on the bench, as the star felt he was letting them down.
"I,unfortunately, have to announce that I'm out of commission for the foreseeable future. During my match with Gabe Kidd this past Saturday, I tore my left biceps off the bone. Surgery this week, and then I start the road to recovery. I am sorry to any fans I am letting down," Henry wrote.
It will be interesting to see how much recovery time he requires before he gets back into the squared circle.
