Top star Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) recently dropped a major revelation concerning a world-renowned artist, which prompted an AEW figure to make a request to the 32-year-old wrestler. The figure in question is none other than Amanda Huber.
Mercedes Mone made her blockbuster All Elite Wrestling debut earlier this year at Dynamite: Big Business. Since then, she has been on an unstoppable roll, capturing the AEW TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing 2024, and then beating Stephanie Vaquer for the NJPW Strong Women's Championship at Forbidden Door after that. In a major successful defense, Mone retained her TBS Title against Britt Baker last Sunday at AEW All In 2024.
The CEO's status as a top name is unquestionable, and her connections in industries with ties to pro wrestling seemingly run deep. In a huge revelation in an interview with TMZ, Mercedes stated that an in-ring collaboration had been in the works involving her and Megan Thee Stallion since a couple of years ago.
While a program featuring the two had not panned out at the time, Mone revealed that the duo had revisited the conversation, teasing the prospect of the 29-year-old rapper and singer either teaming with or squaring off against the former IWGP Women's Champion.
Mone's remarks regarding her interest in working with Megan Thee Stallion elicited an excited comment from AEW personality Amanda Huber, who went on X/Twitter and urged The CEO to make the collaboration happen.
"Umm... @MercedesVarnado I've never asked you for anything but like.... I need this to happen [three folded hands emoji]," wrote Huber.

Huber's late husband, the legendary Brodie Lee, had a memorable run in the promotion in 2020, including a brief but dominant reign with the TNT Championship.
AEW's Mercedes Mone reflects on WrestleMania bout with WWE's Bianca Belair
Mercedes Mone has spoken many times of her intention of beginning a global revolution in women's wrestling at AEW. The former WWE Superstar played a huge role in changing the tone and perception of women's wrestling during her time in the Stamford-based promotion as well. In a history-making matchup, Mercedes had faced off against Bianca Belair in the main event of WrestleMania 37 Night One for the Smackdown Women's Championship.
Speaking in an interview with WTOP, Mone reminisced on the aforementioned bout, talking candidly about the flood of emotions she experienced alongside The EST ahead of the matchup.
"This is so much bigger than us, bigger than wrestling. That moment was so special. The way she looked at me, I was like, 'Girl, you better stop before I start bawling and we slip in the ring from our tears,'" she said. [H/T: Post Wrestling]
It remains to be seen what lies next for Mercedes Mone as the Tony Khan-led company heads towards its next pay-per-view, All Out 2024.
