AEW President Tony Khan makes major announcement on Jon Moxley

Tony Khan has made a massive announcement regarding Jon Moxley's opponent at Double or Nothing. The star he will face at the event is Konosuke Takeshita.

The Alpha has been one of the promotion's fastest-rising stars. His in-ring skills and charisma have caught the eyes of many fans. He made headlines after going toe-to-toe with Will Ospreay at Revolution.

Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito at NJPW's Windy City Riot to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, he has defended it against Powerhouse Hobbs, Ren Narita, and Shota Umino. Following his first defense against Hobbs, Konosuke Takeshita confronted him, teasing a potential match.

Last week, Jon Moxley returned to Dynamite after weeks of absence. He teamed up with Bryan Danielson to defeat Kyle Fletcher and Jeff Cobbs. While the Blackpool Combat Club was celebrating their victory, The Alpha attacked Jon.

Tony Khan announced on Twitter that the Puryevor of Violence will face Konosuke in an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator match at Double or Nothing. The AEW President also stated that The Alpha would receive a title shot if he defeated Jon Moxley at the pay-per-view.

Swerve Strickland will defend his AEW World Championship against Christian Cage at the event. Also, The Elite and Jack Perry will square off against FTR, Bryan Danielson, and Darby Allin in an Anarchy In The Arena match.
