AEW President Tony Khan recently addressed the leaked photos of his meeting with Shane McMahon and revealed something interesting about the nature of the interview.
Two and a half weeks ago, photos of Khan and McMahon in a private meeting surfaced on the internet amid speculation that the promotion had plans to bring in the former WWE Superstar.
During his recent appearance on the Dan LeBatard Show, Tony Khan mentioned that someone from the airport could have leaked the photos. The AEW President talked about how it wasn't a very private meeting, and anyone could walk in.
"I think somebody who works at the airport… I mean, we were just talking in the airport lounge, having a really nice chat, as the photo kind of evidenced, and somebody just walked in, kind of like they were on their phone and ‘oops, sorry,’ and then walked away. I think that’s probably what it was. It wasn’t like that slick, but also it’s not like a top secret thing. I just wanted to have a nice conversation with him."

He continued by saying they planned the meeting at the airport after finding out that they were both in the area. He had the utmost respect for Shane O'Mac and enjoyed their conversation.
"You know, I’ve heard a lot of nice things about him. We have a bunch of mutual friends, and we were both in Dallas. They said, ‘You guys should meet up,’ so we met up at the airport, and it was a nice talk. I thought he’s a very respectful and respectable person and somebody I really enjoyed talking to."
MJF does not want Shane McMahon to show up in AEW
Recently, MJF was asked to talk about the possibility of Shane McMahon showing up in AEW. He was not amused by the idea and had a few words to say regarding this.
During a recent interview with WrestleTalk, the American Champion cautioned Shane O'Mac to stay away from him. He then brought up when the veteran injured himself during his cameo appearance at WrestleMania 39, and it seemed he had little trust in McMahon.
“Please stay away. For his health. Stay away from me. I thought it was super impressive how easily he tore his quad. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Let’s hope that’s not in every single facet of his life.” [H/T Fightful]
With Tony Khan seemingly being open to working with him, it remains to be seen whether he does so, and in what capacity Shane McMahon's work with AEW will be. With WWE reportedly not having any interest in bringing him back, he could take his talents to AEW instead and work with them long-term.
