AEW's sister-promotion ROH currently has a very promising lineup of prospects. Billie Starkz is inarguably one of these names, whose work alongside and against a former WWE Superstar has captured the audience's fascination for over a year now.

Starkz, who signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2023, started appearing at Ring of Honor the same year. The up-and-comer has been allied for some time now with the self-proclaimed "Forever" ROH Women's World Champion Athena and the story of her evolving dynamic with her so-called Minion in Training saw its latest climax unfold at Final Battle 2024, with the former Ember Moon retaining her belt against Billie in the Hammerstein Ballroom.

In December last year, The War Goddess surprisingly ousted her long-time supporter, Lexy Nair, from their group, solidifying her alliance with a seemingly reluctant Starkz. However, the Indiana native seems to have big goals in 2025, with her eyes set on the AEW Women's World Championship.

Tony Khan recently announced a blockbuster Women's Casino Gauntlet Match, set to take place next week in Cincinnati, OH, on AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage. The winner of the bout will be awarded a shot at the All Elite Women's World Title at Grand Slam Australia 2025. Billie Starkz made her interest in the opportunity clear by teasing her appearance in the match on X/Twitter, writing:

"Maybe I should show up and cause some chaos [goofy laugh emoji]."

Starkz was last seen on AEW programming in the Zero-Hour pre-show to WrestleDream 2023, where she competed in a multi-person mixed tag match alongside Athena, Keith Lee, and Satoshi Kojima. It has been more than 460 days since then.

AEW-ROH talent Billie Starkz on facing another popular ex-WWE name

Billie Starkz has the distinction of having wrestled Ronda Rousey in her final wrestling appearances towards the end of 2023. She teamed up with Athena to take on the former MMA veteran and Marina Shafir in tag team action.

Speaking to The Wrestling Classic this past December, Starkz reflected on her memory and experience of the bouts in question and spoke candidly about dumping the former WWE superstar on her head with a German Suplex.

It remains to be seen if Billie Starkz can participate in the Women's Casino Gauntlet on Dynamite next week.
