WWE star Maxxine Dupri recently shocked the wrestling world by announcing her engagement. Many AEW stars, including Britt Baker, Tay Melo, Deonna Purrazzo, and others, reacted to the news on social media.

Maxxine Dupri made her main roster debut in 2022 with the Maximum Male Models (Mace, Mansoor, and Max Dupri). However, the group featured less on weekly television after Max Dupri left them and retrieved back to his LA Knight persona. Mace and Mansoor were released from the company last September, resulting in Maxxine joining the Alpha Academy and becoming a key part of the group, and has gotten the fans behind them.

On Instagram, Maxxine Dupri announced her engagement to WWE NXT superstar Anthony Luke.

"status: FOREVER."

Former Tag Team Champion Otis on Maxxine Dupri's rise in WWE

Maxxine Dupri joined Otis and Chad Gable in the Alpha Academy last year. Many criticized her in-ring work during the first few months. However, Dupri has shown significant improvement since joining the faction.

After Chad Gable left the Alpha Academy earlier this year, Maxxine seemingly took over the group as their manager and even gave Otis and Akira Tozawa a new name: The Alpha Babes.

In a recent edition of Insights with Chris Van Vliet, Otis discussed Maxxine Dupri's rise as a female competitor. He pointed out how her best friend and current Women's United States Champion, Chelsea Green, brings out the best in her. He also praised the entire women's division.

"It helps that her best friend is Chelsea [Green] too. And Chelsea's like, 'Oh yeah, you're gonna do that, aren't ya [sic]?' You know what I mean? Just that confidence builder. I love our whole women's division, to be honest with you. I'm a big Zoey Stark guy; she’s a bada*s worker! We have a stud-a** Women's Division for sure," Otis said. [H/T: CVV]

We will have to wait and see if the Triple H-led promotion books Maxxine Dupri in some big matches heading into 2025.
