Cash Wheeler has shared some unfortunate news in the wake of Hurricane Helene. He also asked his fans for help in this time of need.
Hurricane Helene has ravaged parts of the southern United States, hitting parts of Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. The Category Four storm has destroyed homes and taken many lives in its wake.
The former AEW Tag Team Champion, who is a North Carolina native, has now taken to Instagram to post updates from the destruction and urged his fans to donate to the fund to help in the rescue efforts.
He wrote:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
“Old Fort and so many other cities and towns in Western North Carolina are completely devastated. Entire towns have been wiped out. Lives and homes lost. Small businesses washed away. It’ll take years to recover from the damage. If you can help at all, follow the link in my bio to donate, or just spread the word.”
Dax Harwood reveals how Cash Wheeler almost retired
Cash Wheeler had a troubled time last year as he was involved in some mishaps outside the ring. He was also arrested and charged with assault during that time.
His tag team partner Dax Harwood has now revealed what happened during that ordeal and how Wheeler had decided to retire. Speaking on a recent edition on AEW Close Up, Harwood revealed:
"I guess a week after he told me what happened, 'I think I'm going to retire because I don't want to subject you to any of this stuff that I'm going through.' He knew the backlash on Twitter because it's a cesspool. 'I'm just going to retire. You don't have to worry because your contract is with you. I'm going to leave wrestling.' I had to talk him into not retiring."
All's well that ends well as Cash Wheeler is now free of all those charges and is fully able to concentrate on his wrestling career.
