The highly anticipated debut of Hologram took place tonight on AEW Collision. In his first appearance, he took on a returning name.
For a few weeks now, the promotion has been teasing the imminent arrival of the masked star. There was heavy anticipation for tonight's show after his debut date was revealed last night on Rampage.
Recent reports have revealed that the man behind the mask is the luchador Aramis. After his stint with AAA, he underwent a complete gimmick and name change.
Tonight on Collision, he was in action against Gringo Loco, who was making his return to AEW. Gringo was last seen on the promotion on August 30, 2023, as he teamed up with Kip Sabian to take on Nick Wayne and El Hijo del Vikingo.
Despite him getting some offense in, Hologram ended up being in control for the entire match. His agility was unmatched, and he used this to hit an array of moves.
After several back-and-forth exchanges, the luchador lifted his opponent and spun him around before hitting a powerbomb for the win, which Tony Schiavone called the "Portal Bomb."
Following Hologram's successful in-ring debut, it remains to be seen how this will impact the landscape of All Elite Wrestling moving forward and who could emerge to stop him.
