AEW star Nyla Rose has responded to Tony Khan's comments about a recent controversy regarding her appearance in a wrestling show at Oklahoma.
A singles bout on ROH between Rose and Alejandra Lion was taped in Oklahoma City on December 20, 2023. Unfortunately, this elicited an unfavourable response from The Oklahoma State Athletic Commission, which accused AEW of violating rules that prevent transgender athletes from competing with and alongside their cisgender peers.
The Native Beast, who is a transgender pro wrestler, shared her comments on the matter on social media after minutes from OSAC's meeting in January. The organization warned AEW of possible punitive measures the company could face should they violate its norms again. All Elite Wrestling CEO Tony Khan, however, expressed his disappointment with the Commission's communication and mandate and voiced his support for Rose.
The former Women's World Champion has reacted to Khan's remarks. Taking to X/Twitter, Rose conveyed her gratitude to the All Elite President.

Nyla Rose has enjoyed a good measure of solidarity and support in AEW
After competing in the independent scene for six years, Nyla Rose signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, becoming one of the first openly transgender wrestlers to pen a deal with a major promotion in the United States.
The 41-year-old star has performed alongside several top stars in the promotion, including Riho, Hikaru Shida and Ruby Soho. She has also made several appearances on Ring of Honor and even challenged Athena for the ROH Women's World Title in February.
Despite her skills and accomplishments, Rose has frequently been the target of bigots on live shows and social media. However, several members of the AEW locker room have extended solidarity to The American Kaiju, including Dustin Rhodes.
When a fan voiced trans-misogynist and transphobic comments regarding Rose's appearance on an ROH episode in January, The Natural lashed out at the fan with an expletive message and declared his support for Rose:
"You're a f*****g idiot! Go bury your head in the sand and rot, d*****t", Rhodes tweeted.

Nyla Rose was last seen in action on ROH against Kat Von Heez, whom she defeated in singles action.
